What to prepare for a company check

A few specific details help distinguish the intended business from similarly named companies and keep the review focused on your actual decision.

Share business context, not unnecessary personal data.
Do not submit passwords, payment-card details, government identification numbers, or unrelated personal information.

Five useful inputs

1. The company name

Use the legal name if known. Add trading names, former names, or spelling variants that may appear in public records.

2. Website and location

Provide the business website or domain and the country, state, or city connected to the company. These details help separate similar names.

3. Your decision context

Briefly explain whether you are considering a supplier, vendor, customer, or partner. State the question you need the evidence to inform.

4. Known identifiers

If available, include a ticker, SEC CIK, registration number, or other business identifier. Do not guess an identifier.

5. Timing

State when the decision is expected. Early Access capacity is limited, and submitting a request does not promise acceptance or a delivery time.

What Forge currently reviews

Forge Business Check is an early-stage, evidence-first service using selected SEC company records and OFAC sanctions data. Every report requires human review before delivery.

Current limitations
This is not legal advice, a comprehensive KYB or compliance review, a credit assessment, or a guarantee that a company is legitimate, safe, or suitable. Payments remain disabled during Early Access.

Ready to describe the company?

The Early Access form also asks an optional price-range question to capture willingness-to-pay without activating payment.
